Blue seems to have recovered from his leg problem. I took him out this morning and gave him a pretty good workout. We went about five miles all told, and I kept him at a lively gait for the first 2/3 of our ride. He's soft and out of shape, of course. That's why I took it easy on him the last couple of miles.
When the girls got home from school, they were pleasantly surprised when I asked if they wanted to ride. You bet they did!
Now I remember why I keep telling people I wouldn't take $10,000 for this horse. And I mean it.

Nothing, but nothing can replace the good times we are able to share with our grand children ! He is a very fine horse and I know HE enjoyed it all too!

I am so glad Blue is better.
Glad Blue is going strong again... such a pretty horse.
I do believe those girls have inherited their Grandmothers "riding gene"....but like Monica....I would not be comfortable on a horse.....think they are good looking animals....but guess I am too citified......Happy trails to you all!!!!!
Wonderful news! He's a beautiful horse and I am so glad he's back on his "feet" again. Congrats hun...your tenderness and care paid off.
