on second thought....

I looked at the long-range forecast:  after Monday, it's supposed to cool down considerably.  I think I'll wait until Tuesday and see if I still want air conditioning.  Unless it gets above 90, our old house stays pretty comfortable (this is what happens most every year, by the way... I think I'm ready to give in, then a cool front comes along).

Today: Plentiful sunshine. Very hot. High 103F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Generally clear. Warm. Low 82F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Mainly sunny. Very hot. High 101F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow night: Clear skies. Warm. Low 81F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s and lows in the low 80s.

Tuesday: A few thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s.

Wednesday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

Well, I need to see what our weather forecast is. I just know it's hot.  If a front is coming thru it should come our way after you get it.  I'm all for a cool front.
Have a good weekend.

I agree with you.  I'm not in favor of the idea of air conditioning either.  However breathing and sleeping are high on my priority list and I have trouble with both if its hot and muggy.  Seems to me you are (as my Mother says) grasping at straws.  Eventually you will probably put one in so why not go ahead and bite the bullet.  If it doesn't cause a fuss you can just not turn it on until it reaches 95 inside of the house.  Best wishes with your decision. I keep my central ac set on 72* and my husband has to cover with a blanket to watch tv.

I don't like it, but I've been living with it most of June and July.  We've had soooo many over 90 days that this old house hasn't been able to cool down - even at night.  So the a/c is going and I'll be paying the bill for it too !  Seems like my body has adjusted to it, but I do love the fresh air and outdoors and haven't been able to enjoy it much with the heat.  This is so unusual for us here in Ohio.  I just can't get used to it.    'On Ya'  - ma

Dammit, woman!!  GET AC!!  NOW!!  Your (and Cliff's) body needs to get some external cooling so that all other organ functions can resume without the extra burden of maintaining a normal core temperature.  Yes.  I'm a hypochondriac and I go to too much.  But you are my friend and I want you around for a long time.  A window unit for the bedroom won't cost that much.

The heat index around here stays pretty close to 100 most of july and August. We have no shade and must have A/C. Asthma suffereres can't take the heat.
