Around 2 PM, as Cliff was getting ready to go to work, I noticed the temperature was 45°. Considering how long it's been since I've had a long horseback ride, I figured it was plenty warm to ride, as long as I bundled up.
I've had many pleasant rides when it was that temperature... but that was when the sun was shining and there wasn't any wind. Oh, I enjoyed the ride, and Blue did his job with gusto and energy. But after an hour and a half out there in the wind, I was uncomfortably cold, and my toes were numb.
Still, I'm glad I seized the opportunity.

I'm glad you got out for a ride and I'm sure Blue enjoyed it too! Linda
I enjoyed your pics!

I am glad that you got in a ride. Sure looked cold though especially with that wind blowing Blue's mane. I enjoyed looking at the pictures even if it did look cold and barren. Helen
I'm glad you seized the opportunity too! I enjoy going on each of your rides when you share them. :)
Great pictures. I enjoyed getting out with you........thanks.
Aww, Blue is just a wonderful guy, thanks for the ride Mosie and Blue! Judy
It was a very good ride for me. I didn't even get cold. I think I recognize the road in pic # 10 from some of your warmer rides.
You are brave to go out in the cold. I'm not one to go out for any length of time unless there is no wind and lots of sunshine. The older I get the less I can take the cold or the heat. Finding those 'just right' days is hard to do. Thanks for sharing your rides as they are probably the only ones I'll ever see. 'On Ya' - ma
It's been COLD. We have not seen anything but small flurries here. I'm sure our turn is coming. But not before we get to "almost 70" here in a day or two.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I enjoyed them so. Everything did look so gray, cold, & lonely. Spring will return soon though! I loved seeing the geese. I'm so glad that you're able to be riding again.
