life (and death) in the country

The two pigs we raised are hanging in Cliff's shop, chilling nicely.  We'll soon have pork in abundance.

The "boys" are doing fine; I rode both of them briefly this evening.  Life is good.

I'm coming for breakfast soon, for some down home bacon!!!  :>)  I still have a heart for those pigs though.  I remember them when they were just so sweet looking in your picture!  LOL!  I'm too sentimental.

Mosie!!! Glad to see you got back home safe and sound.....looks like the pigs didn't do as well!!! hehehe
I have not been getting my alerts so I am glad I didn't have too many entry's that I'd missed.
Glad you had a good time with your daughter, and isn't it always sooooooo nice to get back home and crawl into your own bed????!!!!
You rest up....you will be busy tomorrow!
Take care now,
Carlene

Yikes!  Poor piggies!  I eat (and love) bacon but I hate to be reminded of how it gets to my plate.  I guess they'll have their revenge when I keel over from a massive stroke.  Russ

Mosie What breed of horse is yours?  I know Prince is an Arab (even if you had not said) You can't miss the look of him.

Years ago I was a huge Little House on the Prairie fan (the books). There was a segment in one about all the neighbors getting together for a hog butchering and how much little Laura was looking forward to roasting and eating the pig's tail. The things I remember...LOL
