A couple more pictures

OK, here's a picture from the 1920's that has faded badly, and I'd love to have it fixed.  I'm thinking perhaps my daughter knows someone who could repair it, since she works at a photo lab.

That's my dad's father.  Neat photo, eh?

This is the first brand new car my parents ever owned, a '58 Chevy.

That's me and Cliff.  I'm editing this entry because I'm pretty sure I had the wrong date on it.  It must have been taken after both kids were grown and gone from home, which would put in in the late 1980's.

By the way, there are more of my scanned pictures and old post cards over at my blogger site.

On a different note, there's something in Kansas City that I really want to see.  It would be something fun to do on one of these bitterly cold days.  Cliff has expressed mild interest when I mentioned it, so I think if I do my nagging, begging and pleading just right, he might be persuaded to take me.  In one way the idea rather creeps me out, but I still want to see Bodies Revealed at Union Station.  The exhibit will be there till Sepember 1, but I'm pretty sure I'd stand a better chance of getting Cliff to go on a nasty, dreary winter day.

I saw both the Dead Sea Scrolls exibit and the Titanic one and both were very well done.  I got the feeling of walking back in time and was in awe of everything they displayed, but BODIES???  No, I don't think I want to see that one.  I do plan on donating my parts and pieces after I die, but I won't be around then to see how or what they do with them.  It is snowy and cold here again today.  'On Ya' - ma

I think I see where you got your love of horses. That was a beautiful colt and it looks like he lets him handle him well. That is a very good picture of you and Cliff.
Uh uh,  no way am I looking at dead bodies unless it would be very necessary. Helen

I didn't get to see the 'bodies' exhibit when it was here in Boston at the Museum of Science, but friends went and were impressed and loved the show!

Send it to work with me, and I'll get an estimate of how much to restore.

I couldn't restore the original picture, but if you want to send me a scan of the picture (at about 300 dpi) I could try to fix the digital image up some in Photoshop. No guarantees, but I've read a couple of articles on restoring old photos, and I would be willing to give it a try...

Oh, and Cliff was a cutie! I'm really enjoying all of your old photos.

I think you should be able to have the photo restored without too much trouble.  I like that picture of you and Cliff.
