That's Cliff's Aunt Gertrude; we attended a birthday party in her honor today.  We were celebrating her 81st birthday.

Cliff enjoyed seeing sisters, a brother, aunts and an uncle, and many cousins.  In the above picture, he's shaking hands with his Uncle Phineas.

There was food a-plenty.

See the guy talking to Cliff, the one holding the Styrofoam cup?  That's Cliff's cousin Ricky, Aunt Gertrude's youngest.  One of the funniest people I've had the opportunity of meeting.

The food was finally ready to eat, and Rick was asked to say the blessing before the meal.

He thanked the Lord that we were all able to gather together, thanked Him for his mom's continued health, and so forth.  Then he said, "Lord, we praise You...."

And his brother's cell phone rang....

And without missing a beat, Rick said, ".... for Darryl's cell phone; and please bless this meal.  Amen"

I have a feeling God was laughing right along with us.  And trust me, we were laughing.

ARRRGGG!  My phone rang one time as the company owner was starting a speech with, "And please make sure your cell phones are turned off."  Without missing a beat, he added, "so they won't ring like Rachel's."  How humiliating.

In my real estate classes if your phone rang you had to donate $10 to Habitat for Humanity.

When we have parties over at my house, usually, we join hands and Jesse's brother says a blessing before we eat....and we put the dogs upstairs when we're eating......and there he is 'thank you for ____, Father....and' and then you hear "aaaaaarrrrrrooooooooooooo...." from Gordo who is so sad to be put away.  LOL  "...and Father, bless Amy and Jesse for having these dogs to give us a laugh..."  hee hee hee...
