IT'S NICE TO COOL OFF IN THE SUMMERTIME

I saddled Blue up this morning.  The temperature was already over 80, and the sun was beating down with a vengeance.  So I simply walked Blue around the pasture and the neighborhood for a little while, letting him plod along like an old plow-horse.

When I was ready to put him up, Cliff said, "I'll bet he'd like to have the sweat washed off him and cool off a little."

Sure, why not?  So Blue got a quick shower.

Can you tell he's enjoying it?

  12. He does seem to be enjoying it. I try to hose Derby off but he moves away when I do that to him. Maybe he is just not used to having it done. Have to work on that, cause I know it has to feel good when it gets into the 90s.
