update on the fire

Obviously, Marvin's house (he owns it) is totaled; hopefully they have insurance, but of course there are so many things that can never be replaced.

His sister lives directly across the road, and his mom also.

    Good that there is family close by. So horrible that people loose the small things that can't be replaced.

    Yes, so sad anytime of year, and especially this time. And there seem to be a lot, too, this time of year.

    I'm speachless. Thankful the family got out without injury most important part. The house can be replaced and made home again. Fernan

    So sorry to hear about this. Thank goodness they have family nearby and that they all managed to get out. It's hard, and there are so many things that can't be replaced, but human lives are the most important.

    Well, there's nothing to say.  I was walking around work today with a heavy heart.  I grew up with Marvin, and my kids are growing up with his kids.  Damn.  I'm so thankful for my house...my messy, messy house.  I feel guilt, sympathy, empathy, anger, and confusion.  I don't get it, but I'm thankful that they are all safe.
