Prayers and good thoughts, please

Lately it seems there are lots of people I care about going through trials.  I know that many of my readers believe the power of prayer, and will pray when I request it.  Things are really mounting up with certain folks I care about, and I'm enlisting the help of all you prayer warriors out there.

1.  Cliff's cousin Edna often sends me cute and funny e-mails.  I share some of them in this journal; had it not been for the Internet, I'd never have gotten to know and love her as I do.  Today her husband had a severe stroke.

2.  One of the people in my town that I sincerely love, one of the funniest ladies you'll ever meet... my source, if I need to know the scoop on the latest local gossip.... her husband has a cancer issue.  He's the same age as my son (40), and he's so full of life (and other things we won't mention) that I can't imagine anything bad happening to him.  I know he'll be fine, but I enlist your prayers and positive energy for him.

3.  This may not seem important enough to group it with the ones above, but a good message-board buddy, Hollie, accidentally let her pet bird (some exotic variety... I know nothing about pet birds) escape.  She's so upset over this, I can feel her pain.  And I remember how I felt when my Mandy died.

I know you people well enough to believe you'll join with me in this.  And when the time comes, I'll do the same for you; I already have, in times past.

  1. I'll be praying for Edna's husband and for the funny lady's husband too.  May our dear Lord bless them both with healing and guide the doctors caring for them.

  8. Absolutely I will join in on prayers for you!!  May they all be well and I sure hope Hollie finds her bird...it doesn't matter if it's a bird, dog, cat we all seem to fall in love with those darn pets like they are our kids!  It still  hurts to lose them.

  11. I certainly hope that Edna's husband recovers from the stroke, and that your friend's husband's prognosis is good.  Forty is very young to have cancer.  And as for your freinds, bird, well I'm sure that bird was a big part of her family, so I'll keep them in my thoughts as well.
