persistence, personified

Iron is bringing quite a bit of money lately, so Cliff spent the morning dragging rusty metal out of the ditch.  I understand they want the tires taken off before you take junk to the junk yard.  Cliff had his work cut out for him here.  He's no quitter.

  2. I do hope he gets at least enough out of that piece of iron to pay for the work it took to get it there.  'On Ya' - m

  4. I had no idea about the iron... I remember taking our pepsi and coke bottles back for the chunk change... remember those glass bottles??  I will have to tell Rob about the iron... I can see Cliff and him both doing this... great pictures and a good title for this entry.

  7. I've seen this type of thing played out again and again.  Things that should take only minuets sometimes take hours, especially if working with OLD stuff.  Good for Cliff for not giving up but I surely hope it wasn't hot that day.

  9. We took a bunch of aluminum and copper scrap and sold it recently.  I hope Cliff got a good penny for it.

  11. Well, I guess if you had a ditch full of rusty metal, selling in would be best.  Now, once the ditch is empty of said metal, what will one do with said ditch?
