Our front porch as it looks today

The porch is almost done, except for being shingled.  We love it!



That post in the middle is just for support while the man is working on it.



In this hot weather, it's going to be great to have the front door in the shade.

    What a nice addition.  Not only the shade but also it will be nice to have a dry place to unlock the door when it's raining !!!!

    Great porch.... I love sitting on my porch too and looks like you will be able to sit there and have coffee etc..... Nice looking too

    OH wow that looks great!  I bet it is nice having the sun off the door.  I know how hot our kitchen gets when the sun shines in.  I need a long curtain!  I have an all glass door.

    I have a wraparound porch & I sit on it ALL THE TIME. People in my neighborhood all used to do that, now I am the only one.  Heck, I feel old! but I keep doing it, very enjoyable. I can hear TVs blaring while I am out there, so I guess porch sitting would cut into their viewing time.  I prefer to view nature. ~Mary

    Nice porch. Mel and I use to sit on the porch late at night when the next day wasn't a work day. John isn't a porch sitter and I miss that, but I do sit with Susie the cat some and she likes it. Paula
