No you are NOT!!!!! cause Mixon and I said the same thing...together LOL....me thinks there is "road kill" somewhere and it doth stinketh....LOL....I wonder?????? hugs...Ora
Whatever it is I am upset. Seems like the whole world is rigged these days. I just loved that horse he had such a spirit about him. He looked like a winner to me.
I thought about it but what do I know. It is scary though when they show how close those horses run. I always worry about those spindly little legs. Marlene http://journals.aol.com/domsmom27/one-day-at-a-time
At first I was so upset about what "happened," but then I must say, plenty of people around here(we have a large race track nearby)have been saying it was so. I sort of hate the idea of horse racing, but I am in the minority, esp around here. ~Mary
As it is so too often said...and later proven true...FOLLOW THE MONEY. Who stood to gain far more than the purse if there was no payout on Big Brown running against a muddle bunch of lesser horses....
BIG BROWN NOT TO COME IN FIRST, SECOND OR THIRD....
I kept a journal on AOL for over four years. AOL decided to get rid of journals, so I transferred my memories from there to Blogspot. I don't intend to add to this site, except perhaps to add some pictures that were lost in the transfer; I'm keeping it for the memories: memories of babysitting my granddaughters; of my long-gone dog, Mandy; of nights spent at the cabin; of vacations and motorcycles bought and sold.
Thanks, Blogspot, for helping me save my memories.
I was born in 1944. My husband and I are retired, living in a mobile home, and loving life every day with our oldest grandson living in our old house next door to lend us a helping hand if we need it.

No I didn't think so but it does make you wonder if the horse is really that good since this is the first time without steriods
ReplyDeleteIf ever a race gave the appearance that would be one.
ReplyDeleteIt was odd that he came out dead last. I thought the heat and his sore foot were factors, you'll never know. Vicki
ReplyDeleteLike most everything in sports....it's all about the $$$. Sad to say. I'm just thankful none of the animals were hurt this race.
