Sometimes when I see pictures of Sadie it gives me a pang of missing Mandy too. I love dogs but yours are the only ones in mylife at the moment. My heart goes out to you. She was GREAT. You can see that even in cyberspace.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8395555111688403818.post-9798684931560778672007-01-24T04:16:00.000-08:002007-01-24T04:16:00.000-08:00P.S. the song brought tears but was very fitting ...P.S. the song brought tears but was very fitting for this tribute.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8395555111688403818.post-6472568112814482812007-01-24T04:23:00.000-08:002007-01-24T04:23:00.000-08:00I know tomorrow will be a sad day for you, I remem...I know tomorrow will be a sad day for you, I remember several of the pictures, I remember especially the one of her on the hay with the girls.I haven't seen the baby pictures of her or the one with the white horse before which is a beautiful picture. Losing a pet can be heartbreaking. Almost like losing a family member. You are thinking several times a day things they did. Bet you can see several things in Sadie that Mandy did. There are several things our Patches does that brings back memories of our Jake. Your poem is beautiful. I'm glad you have Sadie now and that along with the precious memories helps a little when we love those we love. I too keep my dog leashed and or on a line on a stake in the back yard. He loves running loose, but can ony do that when we visit one of my babes that have a fenced in yard. He can also run circles around me when we go for a walk. We do love our pets. It has been a long time since I have lost a beloved pet but that day is coming soon for me with Sebastian. I am thankful he has had a long life. I know that is what you want for Sadie, that is why you are so protective of her.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8395555111688403818.post-82508418149896633352007-01-24T07:46:00.000-08:002007-01-24T07:46:00.000-08:00Mandy is a beautiful dog.oh my! I lost "Sebastian" 2 years ago this April 12th... he was 17 years old, a miniature schnauzer, such a wonderful old man he passed from congestive heart failure and even tho I realize I did everything I could I still get extremely sad and cry even now about his being gone. He isn't the only pet I've lost that I mourn for still "Madison" a great dane... "Baby Doodles" and "Frisco" both were cats I lost to feline leukemia causes (severe anemia in one and diabetes in the other). In my belief...there is a place called "The Summerland" that we pass to when we leave this body (animals and humans both) and to me Sebastian is over in the Summerland in a young, buff body, chasing kites on the beach and barking at the waves of the ocean...and chasing butterflies... I will always see him that way as it was his favorite thing to do. He loved kites so much... Blessings, Teresa
(sorry about the length of the comment)
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
