politics

I notice many of my favorite bloggers are touting their politics.

Just in case you wondered... I'm Republican.  I won't be changing.

I'm so Republican, I voted for Nixon.  And I voted for "W" twice.

I won't try to make you change your politics.  This is America, and you can vote for whomever you choose.  If you choose to attack the morals of my candidates, however, make sure YOUR candidates are (and have always been) above reproach.

And that's as political as this journal is ever going to get.

Oh yeah, just so you know:  there are two Democrats I'd have voted for, if I had a "wayback" machine.  Both of them are considered to be miserable failures.

Harry Truman and Jimmy Carter.

Why would I have voted for them?  Because I believe they were real; I believe they were what they claimed to be.

Looooove your political mind.  Yep!  Knew that would be the way you felt.  I also would have voted for Jimmy Carter cause like you, I believe he is REAL.  That honesty thing goes a long way with me.

I had wondered what your views were. I am Republican, too.

Me too, except I don't admire Carter these days unless he is not talking politics and is doing his Habitat thing.  Have to ask, did you watch Palin last night?  My daughter called me after it was over and we rehashed it.  Her favorite moment was when the younger daughter wet her hand with spit and smoothed down the baby's hair!

I have voted for both democrates and republicans. Whatever the outcome of the current election, this country WILL have a minority in office. This IS history.  Anne

I believe that Harry Truman is now considered one of our better Presidents.  Jimmy Carter has done more post Presidency than during his term.  Both of them were and are the real deal warts and all.  Long Island Grandma

My mother (who is 84) always said that she had a lot of respect for Harry Truman.  "Real" is a word she used to describe him, along with down-to-earth.

Let's just say, the race got more interesting with Palin attached to McCain.  I'm excited now.

Two things I dont like to talk about, politics and religion. Everyone has a view, and most times it varies. Who is to say who is right and who is wrong. I am with you, I have my views, but I wont try to change yours. Good policy to go by. Kelly  PS, I liked Jimmy Carter too. :)

Interesting.  Years ago in 'the early' days of my political savvy (HA!) I was a dyed-in-the-wool, all out, go get 'em Dem.  Not so much anymore.  Well, the last two elections anyway.

I'm still debating here ... which is troublesome for me.  I want to have my mind made up ... like the old days.
