Progress on the back porch and deck

Now I can see just how large an 8 X 10 room is.  That ought to be all the storage space I need!  This shot looks toward the west.

This picture looks toward the east.   We finally found someone to erect a two-car garage soon; once that's done, we'll have the propane tank moved somewhere not so "in-your-face".

We're looking at  hot tubs, but I'm not sure just yet if I want to spend that kind of money on something I'd use, at most, fifteen minutes a day.  A hot tub sure does make my knees feel better, though.  The carpenter made the open end of the deck extra strong, just in case.

yep lots of progress today!
Lots of chemicals and repairs to hot tubs but if anyone can...you all can.  lol
I've never had one but talk to folks that have to make sure.

I thought the whole thing would be enclosed, but now I see how it is going to be divided.  It looks like this will be where your new back door will be and that will be nice for you.  8X10 is a nice size storage area for sure.  'On Ya' - ma

I have had hot tubs in my life but I don't right now.......I miss it more than anything.  If I could have one here, there is no doubt in my mind that it would be at the very top of my list.  You only live once.  Maybe your DR could write you a prescription for one so you could write it off your taxes.  Just a thought.

Looks good..I can't wait to see the finished result.  I have heard so many good things about hot tubs helping ones arthritis.

A hot tub would be nice. I have never been in one. He is going pretty fast to be a one man operator. Bet you can't wait to sit out there in the evenings. Helen

I have had hot tubs twice in the past 20 years, at 2 different houses. Loved the first one, but once my husband had heart surgery, we had to drop the temperature and it just didn't feel as good anymore.

I am so very happy for you. I know how long you have wanted a new house and it's been fun to watch that happen.  I'm glad that you have documented the progress.  Love the pictures.  Anne

Glad you're prepared if you do get a hot tub, and just in case you'd lie my vote -- I say get it!  Even just 15 minutes a day -- hey, you deserve it!
