Busy place

There's been a slight delay in the garage-building; the guys didn't receive all the proper metal sheets, so they'll be back Thursday and be finished by Friday.  They're doing a fine job, and have been moving right along.

This morning I sat down and started calling every electrician in the local phone book.  Finally I got a real person, and he said either he or one of his men would be here sometime today to look our situation over.  Now it's 3:30 and I haven't seen anybody yet, but that's the best promise I've had so far.  We shall see.

If he doesn't show, perhaps tonight I'll get some return calls from all the messages I left in voice mail for electrical contractors this morning.

Everything is looking good in your and Cliff's own little community. I hope you hear from an electrician soon. Helen

Well, that is progress.  Any progress is good.  I read a book once about living in the Provence area of France.  It was so laid back (but busy) that contractors often couldn't book you in for a couple of weeks and then you'd see 'em in a couple of months instead.  I had to laugh about that.  Although it is not funny.  This is from one of the Peter Mayle books.  He is a very interesting writer that writes about his and his wife's experiences in Provence.  At one point they were remodeling a house they moved into and also built a pool.  He was quite funny as I seem to remember him talking about not getting immediate help when the heat or air ran out that was the most critical. You might like his books.  Your situation reminded me of them.  lol  I'm rambling, and yes, a bit bored.  lol

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!!! I just love the whole scene.  The pastures, the horses, the barn. I know you are enjoying it.                          Marlene

It looks really nice!  Is it dumb to say I'm impressed that everything matches?  (the siding)
