Turn up your sound...
Can you see the little bird atop that utility pole? That pole is right beside our barn, and it's amazing how much time that mockingbird spends in that exact spot, singing his little heart out for me. (I like to think he's doing it just for me.)
In case you don't have your own resident mockingbird, just click on the video below and listen to mine:

Cat came a-running! When I was a teen we had one and I assume its relatives each year after that ... my father and I would spend a few minutes each day trying to teach it new songs.
Yours is quite lively (aren't they all?) and has a beautiful song.
Believe it or not I do have a resident Mockingbird here. He sits atop a pole nearby and I enjoy his songs in the morning. They are amazing little creatures.

Your bird has a beautiful sound. We have them around here too. I can hear one singing away as I type.
I don't remember hearing anything like it here :) thanks for sharing she sounded wonderful
Oh my....I didn't know what a mockingbird sounded like. I love my birds. I have 5 feeders up & 2 bird baths. That is my favorite past time...watching & listening to the birds. I think my favorites are the gold finches.

We have a slew of mockingbirds out here. They are beautiful little singers, but boy are they viscious and territorial. They will swoop down (if they have a nest nearby) and peck you on the head if they even THINK you are any where close to thier nest! They are very protective!

I love mockingbirds. I don't have any where I live. Linda
Sometimes when I am out walking and hear birds I think they are cell phones - same with some insects. I guess the phone companies must have used nature for some of their ideas!

We have a couple around here..and they seem to love our rooftop and will sing off of it most of the day. Mockingbirds are so cool. Kelly
