So, where's Cliff this weekend?

I've mentioned in this blog that Cliff's Wisconsin sister, the one who's getting a divorce, will be staying in our old house until she can figure out what to do next.

Cliff left Friday morning with his two brothers (three old guys with heart issues, go figure), to get her and her stuff (tons of stuff) loaded in the truck she rented, and transported here.

Cliff just called.  They've had a couple of breakdowns, but they're in Des Moines, Iowa, which is about four hours away.   The only sleep they've gotten is the few catnaps they can catch in the vehicles.  I certainly hope they only did that when they were not driving.

Bless his heart.  Cliff spent the past two weeks moving us.  Now he's moving his sister.  I think he could use a few prayers and good wishes.  Let's face it, moving is not on anybody's list of favorite things to do.

Oh, and his brother Don has four more hours to drive after he arrives here:  it's his anniversary, and his wife wants him home.  No comment on that.

A prayer winging it's way up, for Cliff & his friends. May God give them all strength & bring them safely home. May He also give them the wisdom to know when to stop & rest, & to not over-do. May He bless Don also.
Have a great Sunday, my friend.

Sending up prayers that Cliff and his brothers and sister have a safe trip back home without any more misshaps. Hope that one's wife will not be mad at him. You gotta do what you gotta do. Helen

IT'S SPECIAL that the guys took the time & effort to help Cliff's sister ... & that she will have a place to stay at this difficult time.

No comment on that last either.

Keeping Cliff, his brother's and his sister in thought and prayer today.

He must be pooped.  Well, heck ... they all must be pooped!

Well, I"LL comment! ..'cause I'm not a nice person or maybe 'cause  I just listened to a sermon about dying to self to serve others.  A person that thinks only of themself will always be a miserable person because that was not our original purpose.

God Bless Cliff, he's such a good guy.  I'm so happy your air got turned on.  Geesh, what more could anyone ask for, soft water, air and ants.  Life is good!  Vicki

Cliff and you are always in my prayers.  I'll be saying a special one for that man though as he has been though a lot lately and You both deserve a rest for sure.
Hopefully you can sit back and enjoy all those wonderful conveniences that you didn't have and now do.  No bugs, a/c and soft water WOW!  Enjoy!  'On Ya'- ma

Moving is HARD work...even if it's as close as you guys moved. Poor Cliff....I hope he doesn't overdue things.

Oh man...I am sorry his sister is going thru this but I know she is relieved to have family to lean on.  How AWESOME Cliff is and his brother Don for doing this for her and for you all having patience while they do it and praying for them.  I will pray now for their travel safety and for his sister.  How upset she must be.
Now I've been looking forward to your journal most of all today....to hear all about the move.  I've been away from reading for so long.  So I am about to tear thru your journal.  LOL
