We found our home!

This home was on Craigslist.  The lady only lived here with her children for four months, separated from her husband.  She was the second owner. They got back together.  She was going to come back in and paint some walls.  We told her not to bother, so she took $1,500 off the price.  The only fault we could find with this place at all was that the living room window isn't big enough.  And that can be fixed easily!  It has new Berber carpet.  And a dishwasher!!!!  I've never had a dishwasher.

She'll remove all the kiddie decals from the walls and refrigerator.

This house has everything we were looking for, and none of the stuff we didn't want.  Of course, no money has changed hands.  But she is taking it off Craigslist.  I offered to give her $100 to hold it, but she refused.  She's just happy she doesn't have to paint it.

Now I'm REALLY excited!

Tomorrow's job will be finding a mover; I've heard it cost $5,000 to move one of these babies.

I am glad that you two found what you want. That home looks almost like new. I have a coat rack in my den except it is wood and smaller than that one LOL. It doesn't cost that much to move one around here but it may be how far it is moved that determines the price. Helen

Yes it does cost 5000$ to move one, but it looks like a beauty. I hope things goes well and you will be moving your new home to your property soon. Best of luck on your new home.

Very nice!  Is it a double wide?  Bigger than what you have now?  How do you hang things on the walls?  Can you use nails?  I love the kitchen table, you are going to be so comfortable in the new house!  A/C?

Not bad at all!  Reminds me of my husband's grandmother's old house in Florida. They built a really nice front porch and a back screened in deck on on thier place. It was in a really nice retirement community too with a club house, pool, church, and bus service that would take the folks grocery shopping and whatnot.  So, you always have the option of picking your new house up and moving it somewhere warm and sunny one of these days, if you feel like it. :-)
