I'm still scanning

Oh yes, I have some real treats for you today.  ::evil grin::

I got a Kodak Brownie camera for Christmas in 1957, I believe.  If we'd had digital cameras back then, Lord only knows how many pictures I'd have today.

I took pictures of my most prized possessions, all arranged in my bedroom:

Does anyone else remember Fabian?  He could barely carry a tune, but wow, he was cute!  I see a Pat Boone album sticking out from under the Fabian one.

Then there was my cat, Patches, who slept with me most nights.  And once had a litter of kittens atop a basket of clean clothes in my mom's closet.

Lacking any better subjects to photograph, I took pictures of the stuffed animals that were usually on my bed.

Me and my mom, 1961 (I hope these pictures show when I click "save", because half of them aren't showing at the moment).

No problem with the pictures!  Boy they bring back memories.  The top one reminds me of my sister's room complete with the same type of phonograph and probably the same records, too.  Keep scanning, these are great!

Yes, I remember Fabian. I like the picture of you and your Mom. Your cat Patches was very pretty. Helen

I'm going to look up when I got my Kodak Brownie.  In 1961 I was married with a baby on the way!  These brought back memories of my past.  I love the pic of you and your Mom.  I know you cherish it!

I remember my sister having a Kodak Brownie!  Wow.  Love the old fashioned chenille bedspread and the wallpaper.  Brings back very fond memories!

Your old turntable looks like the first one I had - it was a hand-me-down from my aunt. I inherited her collection of 45s too.  Pat Boone, Fabian...they were in the collection.  I was listening to them in the early 70s and giggling over the music with my friends.  :-)  I remember a lot of songs with the word "blue" in the title or lyrics.  Blue Moon, Blue Suede Shoes, Blue Velvet...  ;-)

I really enjoyed seeing these.  The first one is absolutely lovely and nostalgic.  I think you look beautiful in the picture with your mom, and so does she!
