Bring a cat into my house?

For those of you well-meaning folks who suggest I have a cat in the house to take care of the mouse problem:  I like my husband.  If a cat comes to live in this house, my husband leaves.  Makes for an easy choice from where I sit.

Sadie does enough shedding to keep us well supplied with flying hair all over the place.  But she doesn't hold a candle to the way cats shed.

Litter boxes stink.

And cats jump on the table, and on counters, and curl up on my clothes.

Given the choice, I'll take the mice climbing over my food; they don't eat as much.

I like cats, in their place.  Around here, their place is in the barn.

Your so funny...Isn't it funny how different people are?  I would take 15 cats in my house over ONE mouse! lol  That is how much I am scared of them!   We had ONE cat but then as you may know we got another addition with the stray kitten.  We can't give him away now...he's to darn sweet!  Our dogs shed WAY more then our cats tho.  We got lucky there with the cats not shedding.

Yes, I have had my last cat...and will never have another...and totally understand Cliff and your position on cats. Dont need cats, just traps...or chickens ;). They LOVE mice.

I can't have my cat in the house, either.  Thomas is allergic.  Although one year when we had mice Thomas told me to let her in while he was gone, and over the course of a week or two she caught 4 mice that I know of!!

Dog lover here.  I think cats are cute when they are kittens..if they can find a way to keep them small like that then I might have one.  We are all awfully allergic too.

Completely a dog lover!  Would never hurt a cat, but I would never want to own one, either!

I'm very allergic to cats. Any cat I have would have to be an outdoor cat. No choice.
