Hmmmmm

OK, after our Thanksgiving visit to Georgia, I received an email from Paypal saying someone had given me $10.  I assumed it was as a result of my joking about how Georgia residents should pay me for bringing them rain.  I've left the funds untouched.

So this morning I see that someone in New Jersey has sent me $15 through Paypal.

What's up with this????  I certainly didn't send any rain to New Jersey!

I went to my Paypal account and discovered that there's an email address for both these people.  So I've sent them both an email asking why they are sending me money.  If they're just doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, I'm thinking I may take it and donate to some good cause, like City Union Mission.

Well, isn't that just plain strange?  And kind of interesting.  Unless of course you get a flood of donations which would then maybe become ... annoying!  LOL

Someone got into my son's ebay account and advertised things for sale which were not for sale. He started getting nasty emails about why they were not getting their products and leaving bad reviews. He closed his account and got in touch with ebay telling them what had happened. Says he is not going to fool with ebay anymore. People will do anything to cause trouble these days. Helen

Be careful if they ask for any personal information in order to get your money.  I happened upon your blog tonight in research on starting my own - this is great by the way!

Anyhow as well as a homesteader I am also an IT person - there are people who steal identities that will offer anything to get your personal information.  Be very careful about free offers of this kind!

Best wishes,

Debbie
