Vote for Ron Paul!

I had decided not to vote in the upcoming elections.  Seriously, not one person showed me anything to make me want to vote for him (or her).

Then I watched this video over at Jeff's blog

That took me to Ron Paul's website, and I knew I had found my man!

Of course, he has no chance of winning.  I realize that voting for him will be like throwing away my vote.  But at least I'll be voting for what I believe instead of "the lesser of two evils".

I don't normally discuss politics in my journal, but since I'm planning on supporting such a futile effort, I thought I'd let you all watch me making a fool of myself.

Voting is a very serious matter and I've racked my mind over the last few elections to make a decision on the candidates.  It is so hard when our choices are so limited.  Those with the money power seem to have taken over and although each may have a good point most have so many wrong ones that my conscience has a hard time.  In the end I've voted because it is my duty .  I add up the pluses and see who has the most of the few they have and vote that way.  It could be democrate or republican I'd vote if they were any good.  I read the other day that it seems unfair that Miss America gets 50 choices and we only get 2 for president.  I do wish the $$ were not so much of a leading cause of who we vote for.  'On Ya' - ma

I recently heard or read that if you think one tiny person doesn't make a difference try sleeping with a mosquito in the room.

Oh, you couldn't take my work for it, huh?

There is no way in hell he'll get the nomination, but if he did I'd vote for him.

I admire your individuality!

Good for you!  I'm in your camp at this point in time.  I don't like to throw away my vote either, but not voting is the essentially the same ... just tossing away our right, our privilege.  So, vote I will.  Even if he can't win.

Okay, well, that's for today.  Someone might come up with something really powerful that will lead me away.  Maybe?

I get very frustrated because I'm not too crazy about any of them.

It makes sense to vote for what you believe in instead of against something else.
