Look what Sadie treed

Well, I sat here awhile waiting for some sort of pain to set in from my tooth being pulled, but nothing happened.  No Vicodon needed.  So I took Sadie for the walk we missed out on this morning due to my early dental appointment.

Sadie often goes snooping in the woods while we walk.  Today she disappeared, and then I heard her barking frantically.

I found her looking up into the treetops, still barking; following her gaze, I spotted the object of her excitement:  a ground hog.  I didn't know they could climb trees.

Can you see him up there?

You just never know what you'll find out in the pasture.

I'm glad you're doing so well. I just hope that it doesn't start hurting later this evening  or later on tonight.  I didn't know they could climb trees either.

I had no idea a ground hog could climb a tree.  None.

Glad you had no pain after your extraction.  :)

Some time not long before I got married my sister and I were surprised to see a ground hog up a tree on my parents' property.  And somewhere I have a picture of it that looks much like yours.  Like you, until then I didn't realize they climbed trees.
