The granddaughters are back!

So, life is back to normal with Monica and Natalie here.  Natalie helped me peel tomatoes for canning; Monica helped me break green beans for dinner.  Natalie helped her grandfather several times.  He's still separating parts of the junk metal that he wants to keep for himself, before he hauls it off.  So he had Natalie operate the bucket-loader on the tractor.

Cliff thought it was funny that  Monica complained about it being boring at her other grandma's because there's nothing to do but watch TV.  So what did she do most of the day here?  You got it!  Here, however, you see her taking a break from holding the couch down.

And yes, today as always, the little flock/herd was happily stirring about the lot.

I hope the girls enjoy their visit, just think they are storing up memories for their grands.  Linda

Glad the girls are glad to be back. You know it's not boring when they go on their walks with you and help you and Cliff do things. It is so funny that rooster hangs around with the calves. Good pictures as usual. Helen

It is boring watching tv when there is nothing else to do.  But it is a treat to watch tv when there are so many other things to do.  Some day those girls are going to look back on this time with such love and longing that it will bring tears to their eyes.  You and Cliff are giving them such a wonderful, full, educational, entertaining and well rounded childhood.  They receive love, respect and are given self confidence through your trust in their ability and skill.  They are blessed.

I have nothing but the very best memories of being on my grandparents' farm...it is my "real home" in my heart.

Very nice pictures.  My daugther loves to snap beans and get tomatoes ready for canning.  And she especially loves helping her grandmother do these things because she can chatter at her the whole time! Glad the girls are back home safe and sound.

Glad your baby girls are back. That's great that they help you out and learn in the process. I wish I knew how to can. There's just something about cooking fresh vegetables in the wintertime. Love it. My grandson would love to follow your husband around with that tractor.
Take care, Chrissie

IT'S GREAT THAT KIDS GET A DASH OF THE REAL WORLD!  Junking ... I've done some ... the price on metal is really great lately ... Cliff can see the rewards of his recycling.
