My day

My cousin's son Brian (does that make him my second cousin?) spent a big part of the day here.  He's buying the old WC Allis Chalmers that his grandpa gave us for Cliff to restore.

I've been wanting to get my part of the current Pizza Hut promotion (any size hand-tossed, $10.99), so Arick and I went after a couple of large ones (one super-supreme, one meat-lovers).

Cliff showed Brian various things about the old tractor; I only plodded around the yard briefly on Blue, by the way.

Granddaughter Amber gave her brother, Arick, a haircut (she's going to beauty school).  Arick is crashing at our house temporarily.

These are my two oldest grandchildren.

When she was done with Arick, Grandpa needed a slight trim.

Then Cliff loaded up our WC Allis and we bade her a final goodbye.

And that's me with my (second?) cousin, Brian.  You will always see me wearing a fanny pack these days.  How else do you expect me to keep my camera and cell phone handy?

There are several entries over at my blogger journal telling the story of the WC.

Sure.  Fine.  Sell them all.  See if I care. *sniff sniff*

I haven't used my fanny pack in several years.  What a great idea.  I'm always looking for clothing with deep enough pockets to hold those two items.  I know I have one stuck away somewhere.  I'll have to dig it out.  'On Ya' - ma

Pretty tractor...I don't usually say things like that.  LOL.
Well, I guess your grandaughter cuts hair pretty well?  Nice of everyone to let her try it out on them.   Where were you?  LOL
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Cliff looks like he is actually enjoying the cut.   Anne

No, he is your first cousin, once removed. Your children are his 2nd cousins

I always love the view from behind Blue's ears, seeing these pictures from your prospective.  Nice pictures!

Were you two sad to see the tractor go or do you not get attached? lol I would call Brian a second cousin too. I never did understand that once removed stuff. Paula

Good looking tractor.  Allis Chalmers used to be very popular where I grew up.

Since my grandson(24) has a cousin (1yr) and a baby (8mo.) we're always trying to figure out who's what to who around here.  To complicate matters my great granddaughter was adopted by my niece.  Now we have a hard time trying to figure out what she should call me since her adopted sisters call me Aunt but she is my great granddaughter.  So far we have counted 7 grandmothers (including great and great great and adopted.  The child does not lack for love.  All the grandmothers are active in her life.
