pets... they crack me up

Yesterday when I got back on Blue at the elevator, he happened to see his own reflection in a picture window while I was saying my goodbyes to the owner of the place.  His head went up, his ears went perky, and he started nickering... to his reflection!  I could hardly tear him away.  I'll bet he was thinking, "Dang, that's one good-looking horse."

Blue makes me laugh in so many ways.

My dog Sadie is hyperactive with a capital "H".  I'll be in my recliner watching CSI or something equally fascinating, and she'll bring this rope-toss-chew thing of hers and nudge me with it.  If I ignore her for long, she'll drop the nasty, wet-with-saliva thing in my lap and put her chin on my knee, hoping against hope that I'll have a change of heart and play with her.

Cliff says next dog we get will be a nice, lazy basset hound or something similar.  You know, a dog that will lay around in a corner yawning all day long; a dog more suited to the lifestyle of a couple of old coots.

Funny thing, around 8 PM, Sadie turns into a pumpkin.  She goes to bed early, and can't even be induced to go potty before 6:30 or 7 AM next morning.  I suppose all the hyperactivity of her days wears her totally out for the nights.

Sadie makes me laugh in so many ways.

Donna, I so enjoyed Wedding Cake, but still have not figured out how to comment over at Just me.  It's a superior piece of writing, as is People Die.  I love all your entries and pictures, especially Blue and Secret.  Vicki

Love the  picture of Blue rolling around.  There's just something about a horse on the ground ....

I like you am glad to have the many SMILES my critters bring.  Some days there would be nothing to smile about if it weren't for them. I'm alone here, but not really as they are part of my family and make sure that I'm aware of it too !  I can just picture Blue looking at himself - He is a handsome fellow!   'On Ya' - ma

My old TOTO was the kind that sleeps most of the time; he didn't enjoy playing.  Now, little Mimi is the opposite & I feel obligated to play her tug or tease games, tho, I try to explain to her that I don't like this game.
Seriously, with tears still in my eyes from your last entry ... I was reminded that we do so miss our friends & family that die ... but ... we outlive so many pets that this is a special pain that we go thru more often.

Oh I know all about that slobbery wet chewed toy...being mashed and rubbed on your leg...yep..Tip will be 7 this August and still shows no signs of slowing down...but I am with you...next dog may have to be a bit more laid back when that time comes. We will just have to see..hopefully that time is a long way off. Blue admiring himself, that had to be funny! Our animals...they never stop making us laugh...they are great aren't they.

Ha ha, that is so funny about Blue admiring himself. Sadie has such a sweet expression on her face. She probably gets lonesome. Our Patches has been staying outside almost all day since it has turned off warm, watching for those squirrels. She comes in the house every once in a while through her doggie door though to see where I am. She goes to bed about dark time. Helen

Oh, please, please consider adopting a Greyhound .They are the laziest dogs in the world, and over 300 a day are killed by the racing industry in this country. They also like horses. Mine are so sweet and lazy and they do not smell and you have to teach them to bark.
