Horses... probably more than you ever wanted to know

In THIS ENTRY yesterday morning, I addressed questions my readers had about sheath-cleaning.  I took these same questions to the good folks on my favorite equine message board, to see what more knowledgeable people than I had to say about the issue.

It occurred to me that some of you might want to read the ensuing discussion.  You'll get a few chuckles, if nothing else.

Well, oh my gosh... general consensus is that bacon grease is not the answer.  Thanks for a morning chuckle!

You really opened up a discussion with your question. Helen

Fun reading and learned some things too!  Thanks!   The wind and rain has finally left CT and we're having a splendidly warm and sunny afternoon!  Yippee.   Judy

That's ok-- I'll skip the link...probably wouldn't ever need to know and although I love your horse, I'll let the details be up to you.  'On Ya' - ma

I read the replys on the link.
Interesting but I feel sorry for the horses
that have salt put in their eyes.
Do you think they mix the salt with water to make a liquid
or just put a handful of salt in the horses (and cows) eyes?
Would a horse (or any animal) ever trust a person that put salt in their eyes?

Well Mosie that was certainly an informative bit of information for a woman who doesn't own a horse, doesn't intend to own a horse, and doesn't know anything about a horse but I like to learn new things even if I don't need to know them. Paula
