I told you several years ago..."AOL sucks". It makes most users (not you, thank God) stupid and lame and dependent. They prey on those who are intimidated by computers, and hold their hands through AOL software, but hope, deep inside, that you'll never discover another browser, or another email client. I'm glad you are smart enough to know how to use a "computer"...not just how to use "aol".
Hey, but they're BACK !! So, earlier in evening I says to my husband ... hey, come over here, I wanna show you pictures of Mosie and Blue's ride through the woods today (as well as walkin' Libby around the front yard) ... and POOF ... the pictures were GONE ! So, how'd they get back ??? This computer business will always be a mystery to me lol ..... Judy
Hmmm... the pics are back... I don't know what to tell you about using the AOL pics with the little square around them... I never do. I know it is nice and convenient to put up a bunch of pics that way, and for people on dial-up it is probably faster (since they are little pictures), but I've never liked depending on AOL to do my html <LOL>... I DO use AOL pictures for my photos, but I use the permalink feature, which (so far) seems pretty reliable, and should only disappear if they lose a bank of memory (which hopefully they won't <LOL>) Eh... what you gonna do? At least we don't PAY for the service anymore! Oh, and in case you are tracking it trying to figure out when they are there and when they aren't... I use Firefox and go directly to Journals, I do NOT use the AOL client software (way to bloated and sloooow). http://journals.aol.com/astaryth/AdventuresofanEclecticMind/ http://adventuresofaneclecticmind.blogspot.com/
I went to see the ghost farm yesterday too and there were no pictures. They are back today. It is an eerie feeling you get looking at them, knowing at one time there was much activity there, and now it sits abandoned and forgotten. I bet it was neat to see it all.
We had an outage today, which the AOL Pictures team quickly worked to resovle. I am sorry you ran into these problems, but rest assured the team was working hard on the issue.
I kept a journal on AOL for over four years. AOL decided to get rid of journals, so I transferred my memories from there to Blogspot. I don't intend to add to this site, except perhaps to add some pictures that were lost in the transfer; I'm keeping it for the memories: memories of babysitting my granddaughters; of my long-gone dog, Mandy; of nights spent at the cabin; of vacations and motorcycles bought and sold.
Thanks, Blogspot, for helping me save my memories.
I was born in 1944. My husband and I are retired, living in a mobile home, and loving life every day with our oldest grandson living in our old house next door to lend us a helping hand if we need it.

I tried to look at the ghost barn entry and nothing was there but words. Linda
