Your Monday Photo Shoot: Such Great Heights

Here's what John Scalzi has to say:  Your Monday Photo Shoot: Show off a picture taken from a height. "A height" you can define as "Higher than I could shoot a picture by holding the camera over my head." Pictures from planes, from the observation decks of skyscrapers, from the roof of your house (although I don't want to put yourself in physical danger to take a picture) or wherever is up there in the air.

Alrighty then, John.  I recently used this on my Blogger journal for Wordless Wednesday, but I believe it fits here also.  Cliff took this picture of me perched at the edge of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, last year in Colorado.

You're up: Grab the camera and get tall, or look through your photos and find one of a certain altitude. Then post it on your blog or journal and go to Scalzi's journal to leave a link! And remember, just because it's called the "Monday Photo Shoot" doesn't mean you can't post later -- any time through Thursday noon should be fine.

I couldn't even THINK about sitting there.  I'd swoon. But it's a great shot and you sure look like you were enjoying yourself.

That's a great pic of you. You look relaxed and refreshed!  And the scenery! OMG it's gorgeous!  Just beautiful!  I'd have stayed there all day just enjoying that canyon.
Thanks for sharing it.

You seem to have a pretty happy marriage... but remember, kids... if hub says "go stand over by the edge of that cliff," run like a fothermucker.

I have been to Gunnison, although I did not get to visit the Black Canyon.  I had the privilege of living in Colorado for 3.5 years and got many beautiful pics while living there.  I also used a photo from Colorado for the Monday photo shoot if you would like to check it out.  :-)  This is a great photo of you with an awesome background.  Kind of reminds me of the Royal Gorge in Canon City, except the rock is red there.

Here is my submission:

P.S.  I have many of my Colorado photos in my photo journal:
