Sooo, what else has Cliff been up to today?

It's been only a month ago that I mentioned, in an entry, that I had to take this computer to the shop... and as it turned out, the problem was dust.  OK, so today Cliff was going to the shop for something and I said, "Put some air in your pup, please, and bring it in here.  Let's blow the dust out of my computer."  (I hope you folks know what a pup is... it isn't Sadie.)

It's been only a month, I figured; how much dust could there be?  Well surprise, surprise.  Clouds of dust went flying when the air hit.

Cliff was amazed, and figured there had to be a way to keep some of the dust out of there and still let the computer breathe.

Enter the duct tape and furnace filter.  It isn't on the computer, but on the back of the part of my desk that houses the computer.

He said he'd feel stupid if I blogged about his invention... his "rig"... but he didn't tell me I couldn't.  So I'm doing it now, while he's at work.

I didn't have a chance to make Better Homes and Gardens anyhow, so who cares?

THAT is a great idea.....I'm always pulling out bits of dust from the back of my computer, too.  I'm embarrassed at how much, actually.  I knew I wasn't that great of a housekeeper, but my goodness....lol....

OK...lightbulb moment!  This is a very good idea as most "rigs" are.  Aren't we glad we live with men that can "rig" things?  YES WE ARE!

Since mine is under the desk it is not getting as much dust as it once wwas. I have been considering a clean air machine. It is so dusty here. I think my computer is going Sunday for a cleaning and an upgrade on some software.

I've had computer cases that had filters over the fan inlets...and the filter looked very similar to furnace filter fabric. I thnk that's a fine idea.

Great idea, Dad!  I think that rocks, as does most of his riggings.

I've got to send you a picture of my computer area! Similar desk, similar flooring, same plastic drawers.  Great idea, too.  I might consider it, LOL.  Tell Cliff I think he does a lot of cool things.  Blessings, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

Well, I think that's about the brightest idea I've heard in a long while, and I just may use it myself.  I hate having to blow all that dust out, but try to at least once a week.  It's horrible back there.
