horses, horses, horses

I love to go into the pasture with horses or cattle, lie down on the ground, and watch their reactions.  Even horses that are a little wild usually overcome their fears, because they're so curious at such an unusual sight.

Libby is usually the first one to check things out, but today she wasn't interested.

Bet that was fun doing that. You must have left Sadie at the house on this trip. Helen

Loved loved loved the pictures and narration.  Sweet horsie nose.  Derby has learned to be loving with his nose.  Nothing like rubbing a soft velvety horse nose. How can you stand the cold...brrrrrr! Looks sunny though, that helps.

I loved your pictures with your narration.  Funny, how cautious they are and so slow moving to see what's up with you.  As compared to a dog who'd be jumping all over you.  You have such a good relationship with those horses.
This was nice.

This is wonderful!  I love what you commented and the look on the horses faces - even from a distance you could see the interest.  I just love your pictures!  Blessings, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

It must have been a little warmer there to be laying on the ground like that...we haven't seen the grass in awhile here...to cold for the snow to melt and it continues for at least another week...cold , cold and colder.  'On Ya' - ma

Good Morning from Michigan, I just found your site and have added it to my favorites plus when you post an entry I will be notified. I've spend the last half hour reading some of your entries and this one I really loved, especially the photos of your horses. They are so beautiful. I know nothing about these huge majestic animals, heck I didn't even know they had eye lashes till one of our neighbors got a horse and I was blown away at the most beautiful eyes and eyelashes I'd ever seen. A women would kill for long lashes like that. ha, ha

I was born and raised in the city so had no contact with horses, I would love to ride one before I leave this earth. I have a list of things I want to do before I die and one is that, plus learn to swim, plus about 5 more. I better start getting with this list or I'll never accomplish even one. Being in my 60's, has made me realize time is getting shorter and not to be wasted. Plus it sure does go by faster now than 20 years ago, at least I think so.

Well I better stop her before I rattle on and turn this into a novel :) Love your journal and will be back.
