Your Monday Photo Shoot: Leaves are changing color all over the US -- show us the foliage in your neck of the woods. Normally I say that pictures from your archives are fine and dandy, but for this assignment try to get fresh photos of the change of the season. Remember also that even though this is called the Monday Photo Shoot, you can still submit pictures on Tuesday, Wednesday or even Thursday morning -- so you have some time to find that perfect fall photo.
Our trees aren't nearly as colorful as those in John's picture, and they may not get that bright this year; we've had drought conditions so much this summer, the fall foliage may be affected.
Anyhow, I went out awhile ago and took a few shots for the photo shoot.

your foliage is just about like ours....I thought of the drought and also...it hasn't really turned cold enough to stop the sap from running...we have bright sunny days most of the time...and temps get up to high seventies...so guess our "Fall" will be a bit later this year....Hugs from KY...Ora
Yeah, Fall is kinda a bummer here in Mid-Mo, especially near the Missouri River. Was down there at Hartsburg, and the trees were just "rusty". Eck. Hopefully, we will get some rain and with the coming cooler temps, who knows?
Hi Donna! Jackie knows how much I like moths and caterpillars, and she told me about your brown wooly bear. I tried to do a search on the caterpillar, and couldn't find any solid brown wooly bears... your fall pictures resemble what I'm seeing around my neck of the woods, in the piedmont of North Carolina. I had totally forgotten about wooly bears! There were tons when I was growing up in NJ, but we don't have them in FL. I bet you'll have great colors soon.

The colors around you house look very similar to those around my neck of the woods. They are just starting to change in my front yard now. Fortunately, they are changing much quicker about 1.5 hours down the road from me in the mountains.
