Cliff and I did have a great time last weekend; there were funny moments I'd share, but it's the "you'd have to be there" kind of thing.
Case in point: There are microphones in our helmets, which makes conversation easy as we go. On the way down, we chatted a lot. If there was a lull in the conversation, I'd sing, and Cliff would say things like, "That's pretty, Babe."
Until I decided to sing "Away Out On The Mountain", an old Jimmy Rogers song; it has a yodeling part in it, and I went right into it... only I don't yodel well. And of course it was right in poor Cliff's ear. He laughed so hard, I'm surprised he was able to stay on the road.
Coming home, we were a lot quieter. Remember, we're both past sixty, and our bones were starting to protest four to five hours of motorcycle-riding a day, for three days straight.
I thank God for keeping us safe on the road and allowing us to see the beauty of the Ozarks together, one more time.

That sounds like a wonderful trip. I have always wanted to visit the Ozarks. The Shepherd of the Hills is one of the better books I have ever read
I had to laugh at this! Pat and I have mikes too. We rarely wear them right now. We have been wearing the half hemets because of the heat. Now that cooler weather is coming we will probably wear them again.
I am glad you go to take your trip. I find our trips on the bike to be just the thing we need to relieve stress.
I thank you Mosie for my laugh this morning!!!! It sounds so much like what I would do too!!! lol lol

I am glad that you and Cliff had such a good time. That motorcyle has brought a lot of pleasure to both of you. Glad you had a safe trip. Helen
I'm so glad you 'take us along' when you go on your get-aways.
Wow that was quite a trip...good for you!
When we had the kids home (a couple hundred years ago) to break boredom I used to start a song making up my own lyrics. This would get the kids going and I’d invite the kids to make up their own lyrics and we’d all sing the chorus which just seemed to get better as we rolled along. Thanks for bringing back a good memory. The certified nut.
Its so nice you have the mikes to communicate. I would think it makes the trip much more interesting. Hold on tight. Advice from the motorcycle chicken, Paula
OK...thats so endearing....Your living in up....together...We all admire that...the yodeling thing?....I would have fell out laughing too....lol...

"one more time"?? You two will be making that trip many more times I predict because you take care of yourselves.
It's "had to be there" moments that are so special to both of you. I really liked the yodeling when I was a child but never hear it anymore. Who was known as the Yodeling Cowboy? I'm thinking Roy Rogers but maybe not.
Also wanted to say....Enjoyed the early morning motorcycle ride. Looks like there wasn't much traffic to spoil it.
You guys are such a good pair! I want to have a friend like you have in Cliff! You are very blessed Donna!
