Ride with me!

LET'S GO FOR A RIDE

I went for a leisurely, two-hour ride this morning; as always, I took my camera along.  About halfway through the session, it occurred to me that those of you who never get to ride a horse might enjoy accompanying me, so I started making a video.  Now, if you have a good ear for music, you might want to turn the sound down when I start singing to myself... but that's what I DO when I'm riding.  The wind noise gets pretty bad at one point, too.

I wish I could have been quick enough with the camera to have caught the two deer we surprised that were lying down in a soybean field, hidden.  When I decided to call Cliff on the cell phone to see how it would work from the levee, my voice scared them into action... which almost scared Blue into action, too.  I practically dropped my phone when he jumped sideways.

It was a funny moment.

Awww, what a nice ride that was. Thanks for inviting us to come along with you. Blue is a great animal. He has it made as you as his master. Helen

I have not been on a horse since 1990 but rode many
different horses in years past.
Even had my own white horse named Boots when I was
16. My boyfriend saved his money for a motorcycle but
surprised me with a horse and saddle instead.
I didn't marry him and when we broke up he let me keep the horse but he kept the saddle. I don't remember why.
Just remember I had to ride bare back after that.
A couple years later when I did marry (my husband of 43 years) he did not care much for horses (still doesn't)
so I sold Boots.
He bought me a Ford *Mustang* Car one time and said that was to sort of make up for not having a real horse.
I never felt as safe on a horse as I did on your Blue
today. Thank you so much for the ride.
Your singing was nice too.
