A night in the cabin

This is only the third night I've spent back at the cabin this whole year.  Cliff's gone, and I didn't have to worry about being here for the granddaughters this morning, since it's the weekend.  So I grabbed my opportunity.

As always, it was most pleasant.

I talked to Cliff, and he found out they're staying at the car show one more day.  He seemed disappointed, and I said, "You sound like you're ready to come home."

"I AM!!!" was his answer.

Well, if he's going to be gone another night, Sadie and I may stay at the cabin again.  We'll see.

I had planned to have my coffee at the cabin this morning, but the stove back there has a problem.  That's why I returned to the house so early.

Looks like you had a nice night at the cabin... It is such a nice place and the scenery is so pretty too. You make a nice fire! Sandra

I have to get my own cabin!  Love seeing your cabin and love hearing how you go to sleep over.  Must get my own though!

Glad to hear (see) the good results for Cliff and his #s. Having been to your cabin, that fire and those morning shots look so inviting. That's a tranquil setting for sure. Too bad your stove was givin ya fits though. Oh well, I'm sure you will remedy that problem soon. Is Sadie as well behaved at the cabin as Mandy was? And is Buddy still gone? Didn't you post some time back that he had been moved to the city? With family?.....lol, just wondered about him. Thanks for sharing your blessings with us here in J-land.

I am so glad you went to your cabin. I know how much it means to you to have it to go to.

We do need our coffee don't we.  Years ago when we camped in the pop up camper my bed was right beside the stove so I'd fix the coffee pot the night before and turn it on the next morning without even getting out of bed.  The camper smelled heavenly too !  Sounds like you are doing great all on your own, but I know you'll rest easier when that hubby is back home again.  'On Ya' - ma

Fire looks great and I bet the smell was wonderful!!!  Nothing like wood buring out in the woods!

I love the photos you take and the peace you feel when you go to your cabin, BUT I worry about you wandering about in the woods by yourself.  If it rained as much in your area as it did in mine -- well, that mud can be slippery.  Mind your knees.

Do you realize just how idilic your life seems?  There are so many readers of your journal who envy you ....
I'm sure that part of it is your attitude that keeps you thinking/working positively towards your goal.
IT IS JUST AMAZING HOW YOUR CAMPAIGN TO GET CLIFF ON HIS HEART-HEALTHY DIET IS WORKING ... CONGRATULATIONS!

In my own piece of heaven-on-earth ... LOIS

I just love a fire in the woods at night/early morning.  Nothing like it.  That cabin sounds so great!  You are lucky. What a great way to rejuvenate your soul.
Sadie looks so pretty, too!
