In case something was misunderstood

In the previous entry, I quoted Natalie as saying, "because they'd yell at me."

Neither my daughter nor my son-in-law are the sort of people who yell at their children.

The girls are more likely to be yelled at here, at my house, than they are at home.

I figured I'd better straighten that out, lest someone get the wrong impression about my daughter and Kevin.

NO WRONG IDEAS HERE. KIDS JUST DO STRANGE THINGS SOMETIMES. I AM SURE WHEN SHE STARTED OUT TO YOUR PLACE SHE HAD NO IDEA HOW FAR IT WAS BECAUSE IT IS ONLY A SHORT DRIVE IN THE CAR. LIKE I SAID BEFORE, JUST GLAD SHE MADE IT THERE SAFE AND I HOPE SHE WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN.

Nah, that didn't even enter my mind, that she would have been really  'yelled at' .. that's just how children think of it when their parents 'have a talk' with them about the situation I think.  Judy

Never even thought of that.  Blessings, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

I never even gave that part of what you said a second thought..   I still think she acted out of a need to be close to the two of you, and gave no thought to the hour she was making her trek across town...

Can't we tell those children are cherished above everything?  No misunderstanding here!  Yelling with love is still love.  Just ask my children.  As a matter of fact..ask me.  My mom is 85 and I love her beyond words.  She had to yell either to releave her frustration or just to make sure I walked the straight and narrow.  Simple, occasional yelling cannot be equated with mental abuse.  And I never thought for once that they would yell at her for a bad dream.  That isn't even what she really meant.
