We're home!

Poor Cliff suffered a setback Sunday, which wouldn't have been so bad except for the pain inflicted on him when they inserted a chest tube.

From his first day in the hospital, he was often asked, "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this pain?"  He said he didn't know what pain was until that procedure was performed, and then he truly know "10".  He was pretty miserable the whole time the tube was in place, but immediately started feeling better when it was removed yesterday.

He's worn out, but so happy to be home; and so am I.

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers.  I deleted all my mail because there was so much it was overwhelming, but will eventually read all the comments you kind folks left.

WELCOME HOME !!!  Cliff and Donna

Donna, I know you must be so glad to be home with your MAN! We pray Cliff continue to regain strength and his surgery scars heal quickly also.

We thank God too, for what He has done so far. For bringing Cliff through surgery, and now for bringing him home.

We will keep you both in our prayers. Take it easy and get some rest.

So glad to hear  Cliff is home at last! I know how glad you both are to be home, now you need to get some rest, because you need it too. He will feel so much better, just being at home, but don't worry if he gets depressed, because it sometimes happens after heart surgery, it just goes along with it. I will continue to pray for both of you.I sent Cliff a card in your e-mail,hope you received it. Tell him I know what he is going through and it will get better, it just takes time. It was so hard for me not to be able to sleep on my side or lay down flat, I just couldn't sleep good. You see, Prayer works wonders doesn't it, thank you LORD JESUS!
Praise God in all His glory!

love and prayers to you both,
Donna Keene

Now this is good news. His recovery will be so much more comfortable and faster where he's in his own suroundings. Besides, them horsepistols so full of sick people he doesn't need any hand-me-down illnesses thrown at him.
Now you can get some rest for yourself knowing where he's available your keeping an eye on him. And his keeping an eye on you. (hehehe) Fernando

So glad to hear he is home.. Remember to warn him not to use his arms when trying to get out of bed.. it's so habit.. my gramps had a hard time learning to use the legs for everything.. you be surprised how often we use our arms that is for sure and be sure when he coughs.. he hugs the pillow tight.. and no lifting anything.. ! It's like little twist ties that are holding his sternum together and those bones needs to fuse back.. and heal so .. as much better as he may feel even in a few weeks... let him resist the urge to lift things..:) So glad things worked out for you all! :) Mel

w00t!! Yeah, Cliff is home! I'm sure that he is much happier at home than in the hospital... as nice as the people are, there's no place like home (thinking about clicking together of red slippered heels <g>). Glad he is doing so much better... that was quite the little scare!
