Miraculous recovery so far

If everything keeps going well, Cliff could possibly come home Sunday.

Have any of you folks known of a quadruple-bypass patient having surgery on Thursday, then going home the following Sunday?

Isn't God good?

The Goldwing looks like a keeper: and, cliff will be ready for roller skates in another week. Abova and most of all, show some compassion and take it easy on him for a few hours after you get him home. (smiles) Fernan

happy happy happy news!!..

yes, my brother was out in 4 days and he had many complications that cliff did not... the kick them out as fast as they can.. sometimes i wonder just how good that actually is..

But in Cliffs case, he was in pretty good shape (thanks to your good care) except for the heart so he should now do really well!!  I'm so happy for you Donna !!

You tell that husband of yours to hurry and get better so you can take your walks again!! (I know thats one thing they tell heart patients to do.. walk alot!!)

You sure got it all in for us to see. What a wonderful family and so much love, no wonder Cliff did so well with all that love and care going on in that waiting room. I love the big heart pillow they gave him. Bob had one just like it when he had his anyuerism surgery. Tell Cliff he sure is a good looking patient. He sure does not look like he just had surgery. Way to go Cliff !!

Glad to see Cliff came through fine.  I work on a post critical floor taking care of patients who had this surgery.  Time frame is right to get him out if he is doing good.  The longer they stay in the hospital, the more chance of picking up some bug.  Most people do better at home in the loving arms of their families.  Best of luck to you.

Hi Donna,
Thanks so much for keeping in touch! I was very impressed with Cliff, and your whole family. What a great bunch of folks! I'm glad to hear that he's doing well. I hope he gets to come home tomorrow.

I was glad that he was the patient that I got to watch the surgery on. It was incredible! Dr. Gallion is a fantastic surgeon, and a really nice man. I wish I could have been there when they extubated Cliff, but I had to go. I have 7 more days in school, and then I'm finished. After that, I plan to return to Independence Regional to work. They have already offered me a position, and I love the staff there.

Tell Cliff I said hi, and I'm glad to hear he's doing well. Tell him we caught that lady from the psych unit that came and got his blood! <inside joke> I hope to hear from you all again soon. It was a pleasure meeting your family. God Blees you all!
