While we're on the subject of dogs....

I saw a journal entry a few days ago that was truly worthy of publication.  But since it's free for everyone to read online, I'd love for you to go to Penny's journal and have your heart warmed.  All animal-lovers will appreciate this one.  Click HERE.

You might want to check out some of her other entries while you're there.

Pennie is the best. She writes so well, it's like reading a book. It's always a bright spot in my day when she publishes a new entry!

I love photographing dogs, I have hundreds of photos I took by asking "Can I photograph your dog?" when I'm on the street in a city.

Never once have I had a person say no, and people in every city around the world have their own way to care for their dogs, from bringing them in a restaurant and setting them on their laps in Paris to beautiful strays who've been let loose to roam in packs and who breed randomly (good mix, makes strong mutt) in Bolivia.

Thanks for that link-what a great story.  It reminded me of the Beagle mix I saved from the animal shelter here.  His name is Taylor and I've had him for 5 years now.

He still cries when it storms and wont lift his head up til I pet him on the head.  He has just recently started barking.  The vet thinks he had one of those shock collars on for a long time and was neglected and abused.

He was on his last day at the shelter with 3 other dogs, and I'm such a softie, I ended up taking the bassett hound as well and found her another home later and then I paid a small fee for the other 2 for some extra days!

Thanks for the nice comment on my journal :)  I love reading yours.  You are welcome for the links, and don't hesitate to holler if you have any questions.

One thing that I would recommend is if you start entering is to create another email address just for that purpose, since you get ads etc, they'll all be in one email and wont clog up your others.
