New Year's Day Motorcycle Ride

With temperatures in the fifties, we rode about fifty miles with Charlene and Pat to meet with a group of bikers; there were seventeen motorcycles in all, mostly Harleys.  Once everyone showed up, we rode to The Corner Cafe in Liberty for lunch.  Cliff and I were surprised to find out that we can actually split one meal between us (we had a Reuben sandwich) and still be full when we're done eating.  And it's cheaper that way!  Our next money-saving trick will be to learn to order water with meals instead of an expensive soft drink.

I understand it's a biker tradition to ride on New Year's Day, no matter what the weather.  This biker will be breaking the tradition if it's below zero or sleeting, trust me.  But today was fun.  Even though I was getting pretty cold by the time we got home.

What a memorial New Years day you had.... I just went to church and stayed home all day.... My husband and the boys went to a Packer game so I had the house to myself today... thats good sometimes too I guess. Glad you had so much fun though. Sandra

Glad that you and Cliff got out today. It's nice that you have met some more bikers. I don't blame you on the staying home on a zero cold day even if it is New Years Day. Ken and I drink water all the time with our meals out. Drinking something else is what runs up a nice large bill. Helen

Oh Mosie, thanks for those pictures.  My heart always races when I see and hear a group of bikers.  (Maybe wishing I was on one) Now I even know one - uhm, sorry Cliff, two.  :o)

We have gotten in the habit of ordering water when we go out. Sometimes you can save like 5 bucks doing that.

Wow, you are too cool! A real Biker Babe :) I wish I had the gall to ride on a bike, deathly afraid, although I have never tried it!  It would be a great adventure to do so!  Love the Pic, great jackets!

Best wishes,
Nena
