Your Monday Photo Shoot

Your Monday Photo Shoot: The Letter G

We're getting lexographic for this week's Photo Shoot:

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Snap a picture of something beginning with the letter "G." Because I don't think the letter "G" gets nearly as much attention as it should.

OK John!  Here's a country Gal strummin a G chord on a Gibson Guitar, with a Gibson guitar-case alongside.

Is that enough "G's" for you?

If you want to do the Monday photoshoot, head over to John Scalzi's place.  Leave your link with all the other great folks when you're done.

I love those beautiful quilts. Brings back memories of my Grandma Howard and her quilting room with a quilt being pieced together. Thanks for the beautiful pics of your trip too.

My favorite guitar too...

Just posted a picture of a camping spot on the hiking journal that I do for the trail club. It made me think of your cabin in the woods.

It's a West Virginia Walden Pond...

Had a nice thanksgiving in New York...thanks for the posting.

Glad to see ya all made your trip safely with Barney Oldfield Donald at the wheel. My Dad was a mad man behind the wheel. He always said her learned the technique driving cab when he was twelve years old. He could stretch a story, although I could believe it his maybe chaufering folks, to frieghtened to drive their own cars back when. Seems he had a driving job every Fridat and Saturday night back in the twenties.

Trying to remember, but am thinking your Gibson Guitar was made in Kalamazoo,Michigan just 40 miles down hill from South Haven, Michigan where we raised or children. Believe he was a singer, song writer, musishion. Made a guitar and had orders for more manufactureing them on second story shop towards west end Kazzo busness district. Believe I saw and listened to him on TV. How far or wide his celeberty stais went, I don't know. Nor, who or where the guitar is made now?

What's your favorite song to play on your guitar?

Anonymous said...

In answer to LordOfButter:  My favorite song to sing is probably "Me And Bobby McGee", followed closely by one I wrote myself, "Jesus Is The Same".  It's really hard to choose just one!  The favorite song my friends like me to sing is another one I wrote myself, called "Million Dollar Car".  I'm country, all the way.  I like other kinds of music, but anything I sing comes out country.

Oh I just love this pic of you with a Gibson....I'm not sure I told you but Hubby works for them!  I usually just say the "guitar business".  He's the purchasing manager for all the parts for the custom division, all except the wood.  They have a wood buyer who solely does that.  I have a Gibson that my grandmother had.  Hubby had it revitalized.  I do not know how to play but Hubby does!
