You won't believe it

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!  I found the owner of one of the pairs of shoes I spoke about in an earlier entry.

Kevin came to pick up the girls after work, and I asked him if he'd lost any shoes lately, thinking somehow those brown ones might be his.  No, he had not.  Then I picked up the Rockports, which Cliff had taken off by the back door, and told him they had been in my closet, but I didn't know whose they were.

With an incredulous look on his face, he said, "You won't believe how long those have been here... it's been about five years."

They were living in Carthage and had come to visit us one weekend.  On returning home, Kevin's shoes were nowhere to be found.  So all this time they've been taking up space in my closet, and probably would have spent another five years there, if not for Flylady.

Now if I can only find the owner of the brown shoes, the ones made in England.  The ones that showed up only yesterday.

I think those brown shoes belong to the milkman.  :)   Or you have a peeping tom that ran so fast from your house he stepped right out of his shoes.  What a mystery...it would drive me crazy wondering.  Robin

Mosie,
This was soooo funny! Thanks for giving me a  good laugh!! lol
You know, I am always losing my shoes, ( my mentally son "cleans up" and puts them where I never think to look!) and when I can't find them I always say"well, I guess they just up and walked out of here on their own!"  So , maybe someone's shoes actually did and ended up at your place! lol lol
love ya,
carlene

I have been through Kansas City many times.  We moved from Alabama to Colorado in 2001 and back to Alabama this past March.  ::sigh::  KC is a huge place compared to the small town I came from in Alabama.  I so loved living in Colorado.  I miss it very much.  We made more than a few jaunts between Colorado and Alabama while we lived out west; thus, my reason for driving through Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO.  I always prayed NOT to hit it at rush hour!!!!  Have enjoyed reading in your journal.

Blessings!~
