That used to be me! Bongo hates any loud noise and would instantly park his big self beneath my computer desk. His hearing is pretty bad now so he isn't bothered much -- but fireworks still alarm him greatly. Maybe it's the frequency or something.
Poor Mandy. Our Jake used to be afraid of thunderstorms but since he has lost his hearing it's not as big a problem. Your grand-pup is greally growing. I was wondering how Blue's feet are doing now? Helen
This was our first storm since Hawkeye came to live here, and he wasn't fond of it, either. He didn't hide, but didn't get more than a foot from me and Kevin, either!
Mandy must be from my bloodlline: I'm with her when that thunder and lightening gets to rolling. The "farmer" in me appreciates it, but only if I'm safely tucked away indoors. Mandy is one smart dog: Knows what's obviously bigger than her. You go, Mandy! Boo
I kept a journal on AOL for over four years. AOL decided to get rid of journals, so I transferred my memories from there to Blogspot. I don't intend to add to this site, except perhaps to add some pictures that were lost in the transfer; I'm keeping it for the memories: memories of babysitting my granddaughters; of my long-gone dog, Mandy; of nights spent at the cabin; of vacations and motorcycles bought and sold.
Thanks, Blogspot, for helping me save my memories.
I was born in 1944. My husband and I are retired, living in a mobile home, and loving life every day with our oldest grandson living in our old house next door to lend us a helping hand if we need it.

LOL! I thought I was the only one that referred to myself as 'grandma' to my dog! You have made me feel considerably better, Mosie! hee

I am glad Mandy feels safe underneath you. Perhaps you could sing HER a lullaby! Anne
