Skeeterfest, part II: The tractor pull

I have to tell you honestly that I find tractor pulls painfully boring.  Oh, it's fun to be in the crowd and watch the people; I can even enjoy the tractor pull itself, for forty-five minutes or so.  But then my mind wanders.  Today I was glad there was "mud volleyball" going on right across the road, because I divided my time between the two events.  That worked quite well for me.

I do love old tractors, seeing them restored and reading about their history.  That's why I'm always ready to go to the Old Thresher's Reunion, and similar shows throughout the country.

Man, I wish they had more tractor pulls down here. It looked like the ole JD was really digging. Oh, and if you need any bribes to come down this fall, the Georgia National Fair in Perry, and the Sunbelt AG Expo in Moultrie are both here in October.

Gosh I haven't been to a tractor pull since I was a kid. I dreaded them because I too thought they were boring. I like to do a variety of things now as an adult so I've often wondered how I'd feel about it now. :-) ---Robbie
