Greetings from Fort Worth

I'm just checking in with J-landers from Fort Worth, where we spent the night.  We met a couple who live nearby, some of my daughter's Internet friends from her Joke-a-day site.  Nice folks, and they paid for our meals; the guy, David, said, "Welcome to Texas," when my daughter objected to his footing the bill.

Things went smoothly on the road yesterday:  Rachel made sure there were plenty of activities for the kids, and they were well-behaved.  It rained on us most of the way, and when I called Cliff to check in, I found out we're getting plenty of wet stuff at home, too.

If all goes as planned, we'll be at my sister's by suppertime tonight.

So glad I checked your journal.  The alerts weren't working, but I wondered if you had left for your trip.  You all be careful.  I guess you sent the rain our way here in TN!
Have loads of fun!
Will look forward to the stories you tell us on your trip.  So nice of the internet friends to pay for lunch.  That's such a lovely gesture and just a nice thing for them to do- I guess it's a God thing - a blessing, is what I am really trying to say.

Wow! You're driving all the way down to Mission? That's a long trek. I know we made it when I was a junior in high school. We moved to "the valley" from PA. I graduated high school down there. I'll be heading that way come October, by plane though, it's time for my twenty year reunion. Have fun! Enjoy the sunshine and citrus fruits. :-) ---Robbie
