It was a big, rewarding day: I think the pictures tell the story. And I believe this year's Christmas tree is the most beautiful we've ever had.
Besides this, I had a short horseback ride; Cliff got his wine bottled; his sister, Charlene, and her husband, Pat, came calling; and after that, our ex-daughter-in-law, with Amber, our lovely, oldest granddaughter, showed up. Some days are diamonds: this was one.

You did have a 'diamond' day ! Your helpers looked like they had fun too ! Sometimes all that work is worth the effort ! 'On Ya' - ma
Some days just shine... Sounds like you had one of the shiny ones <g>

This will be the sixth year in a row that I haven't had a tree. Seven years ago is when I began adopting all the animals in my peronal zoo. A giant dog with a big, destructive tail and several mischievious cats have made traditional xmas decorations out of the question. I loved your phrase "Some days are diamonds". I need to remember that one since I too often just plow through the weeks and months without appreciating the great moments. May the rest of your days be -- if not always diamonds -- a gem of some sort. Topaz? That's pretty good, right?
Aww! What a great photo story! I cracked up at the "too big" "too small" shots. LOL
I've said it before and I say it again, you are a very lucky girl. The final picture is a 'pearl' of joy, by looking at everyone's smile.

What a lovely tree. I can imagine the wonderful smell that fills your house from the tree. Looks like everyone had a splendid time.
What wonderful memories for those girls.
